Boondocking

It seems as though our luck is getting worse.  Somehow the local pool is now closed until Tuesday at the earliest.  Rumor has it that their pump is blown.  But, all is not lost!  We do live in an RV after all.  Time to move our home down to Lompoc and pull a few nights of sleeping on the street.  Lompoc actually has one of the nicest pool facilities we’ve seen in California – the only problem is that it opens for a few hour per day, and for 1.5 hours at a time…max.  Rather unfortunate for such a kick-ass set up.

It will be fun, hopefully.  Scoping out overnight parking spots is a bit of an adventure.  You can’t go too upscale because you’ll stand out like a sore thumb, but you can’t slum it either or you will not sleep more than a couple hours.  Trust us, we’ve tried both.  The middle of nowhere park job just asks for trouble with police.  The Walmart park job assures it.  In any case, we sleep with clothes on and keys at the ready should we need to make a run for it.  I’ve tuned the spoiler to assure maximum aerodynamic/cornering efficiency in the need of a getaway.  Shocks are primed.  The nitrous tank is also topped up.  We can hit 0-60 in 5 minutes with that.

Wish us luck.  Pictures sure to come!
