Back at it…

imgp1378Heather and I are now a week removed from Oceanside and back at the prep for Wildflower and Coeur D’Alene. Thankfully recovery was quick – all but some very sore lower calf muscles that lasted 3 or 4 days. I believe the muscle in question is called the lower Gastrocnemius for you anatomy buffs…I had to look it up so that’s the only reason I’m sure of it’s name.

We just wanted to post a few quick photos of the last couple days training. We don’t bring the camera very often on our Mt. Figureora hill adventures so we made a point of doing so the last two days. Saturday was a long easy ride through Solvang, Santa Ynez and the amazing roads leading up to the ‘Fig’. It was crazy cold up top, to the point where gloves and toque (Ski Hat for you Americanos!) would have been nice! Sunday was a long hill run up the front side, done in beautiful weather and scorching temps – quite a change from Saturday. Pretty relentless for the duration of the climb. Trev’s mom Nola is down for a few days so she was acting as the mobile aid station volunteer/photographer.

imgp1375Enjoy the pics(we had about 10 of them but it’s taking too long to get them uploaded – perhaps some more the next time we’re connected.) – Anyone want to come train with us and Chuckie??

  1. Hey Guys. Weather in Cali looks great and it is also starting to feel like spring in the Okanagan now. I would love to come down for a training camp but work is keeping me close to home right now.

Looking forward to see you guys rip it up @ Wildflower.

  2. Hey Eric,

Sorry the plan to have you come down didn’t work out as we thought it would. Look forward to seeing you in the Okanagan this summer and at Wildflower next year!
